Digi is a renowned supplier of verified scales: scales that meet the legal requirements for accuracy. To ensure the measurements remain reliable and valid, it is important to handle the scale with care.
A verified scale should not be moved, knocked or misused without good reason. This can affect its calibration and lead to inaccurate measurements, with consequences for your sales, customer trust and even your legal obligations.
Cleaning
- Use a slightly damp cloth and mild cleaning agents.
- Avoid harsh cleaning products and do not spray water directly onto the scale.
- Also clean underneath the scale so that it stays stable.
Moving
- Only move the scale when it is really necessary.
- Lift the scale carefully; do not slide it across the surface.
- After moving, the scale may need to be re-verified. In that case, please contact us.
Avoiding knocks and loads
- Prevent the scale from being knocked, dropped or loaded with heavy objects.
- Even a light tap can affect its accuracy.
Placement
- Place the scale on a stable, level surface.
- Avoid vibrations, draughts and direct sunlight.
Starting up with the POS
- Make sure there are no products on the scale when the POS starts up. The scale calibrates every time the POS is started.
