How much does a POS system cost?

The cost of a POS system has two parts: a subscription to the software and one-off costs for hardware. With Count-IT you pay a fixed amount per till per month; you choose the hardware yourself, to suit your business.

What is included in the subscription?

The POS software, the dashboard with real-time insight, product management and reporting (Light and Full)
Purchasing, sales orders, inventory management, integrations, calendar, supplier management and repairs (Full)
Personal support from Roermond, Monday to Saturday, 9:00 to 17:00
All updates and an unlimited number of users
1 GB of storage; additional storage and integrations that run through third parties may be invoiced separately

What do hardware costs depend on?

Count-IT runs in the browser and as an app, so you can start on a device you already own. How much you spend on hardware depends mainly on:

the number of checkout points and whether you use a fixed touchscreen till or a tablet/PC
whether you connect a card terminal to the till
printers: a receipt printer, a label printer or (in hospitality) printers for kitchen and bar
barcode scanners (wired or wireless), a cash drawer and a customer display
a certified scale if you sell by weight

What do you avoid with a fixed price per till?

A lot of software is charged per module or per user, so costs rise as soon as you grow or need an extra feature. With Count-IT:

you do not pay extra per employee: the number of users is unlimited
you do not pay separately for support or updates
you do not need separate packages for inventory, orders or invoicing: they are part of Full
you do not have to retype data between till, inventory and administration

Worked example

A fictional shop with two tills at one location chooses Full: the first till costs €69 and the second €41.40 (40% volume discount), €110.40 per month in total excl. VAT. On top of that come the one-off hardware costs, depending on what the shop already has.

How much does Count-IT cost per month?

Light costs €35 and Full €69 per month per till, excluding VAT. Support, updates and an unlimited number of users are always included.

Are there any extra costs?

We charge no extra fees for service, updates and add-ons. Only integrations that run through third parties may be invoiced separately, and storage above 1 GB is available at an extra charge. Hardware is purchased separately.

Do I get a discount for multiple tills?

On Full, yes: per location you get 40% off the second and third till and 50% off from the fourth till. Four tills on Full therefore cost €69 + 2 × €41.40 + €34.50 = €186.30 per month excl. VAT. Light has no volume discount.

Which plan is right for me?

If you only need a fast POS with product management and reporting, choose Light. If you want inventory, purchasing, orders, integrations with your webshop or accounting software, or the calendar and repairs, choose Full. Not sure? Contact us and we will advise you.
