Webshop integrations

Connecting your POS system to your webshop

Do you sell in store and online? With an integration between Count-IT and WooCommerce, Shopify, Magento 2 or CS-Cart, you sell from one stock and webshop orders arrive in the same system as your receipts.

In short

Count-IT integrates with WooCommerce, Shopify, Magento 2 and CS-Cart. Depending on the platform, products, product groups, prices, stock, customers and webshop orders are exchanged, so your shop and webshop sell from the same stock. For each type of data you decide which system is leading.

  • One stock for shop and webshop (omnichannel)
  • Webshop orders from WooCommerce, Shopify and Magento 2 arrive in Count-IT
  • Integrations are part of the Full plan: see the plans

What does connecting POS and webshop mean?

A webshop integration makes your POS system and your webshop use the same data. Sell a product in store and the new stock level goes to your webshop. Place an order online and the webshop order arrives in Count-IT. You enter nothing twice and you do not sell online what has already sold out in store.

When your channels work together like this, it is called omnichannel: the customer sees one business, with the same products and prices in store and online. For you, stock, orders and revenue from every channel are in one system, with the same stock and the same reports.

No webshop yet, or would you rather not maintain two systems? Count-IT also has its own website and webshop that works directly on your products, prices and stock in Count-IT, without synchronisation.

Per platform

What is exchanged per webshop

Not every platform exchanges the same data. This is what the integrations in Count-IT do.

WooCommerce

Customers, products and product groups in both directions. Sales prices, discounts and stock go to WooCommerce; webshop orders arrive in Count-IT via webhooks. More on the WooCommerce page.

Shopify

You create products and collections in Shopify and they come into Count-IT, as do webshop orders. Stock and sales prices go from Count-IT to Shopify. More on the Shopify page.

Magento 2

Customers, products, stock, discounts and loyalty points in both directions, prices and shipments to Magento, and webshop orders to Count-IT. More on the Magento page.

CS-Cart

Products with variants and categories come from CS-Cart into Count-IT, matched on product code. Stock goes from Count-IT to CS-Cart. More on the CS-Cart page.

One stock, every channel

A sale at the POS and a webshop order both deduct from the same stock. Your webshop stock stays up to date and customers cannot order what is no longer there.

Webshop orders as normal orders

You process an incoming webshop order in Count-IT together with your other orders. Revenue from the shop and the webshop is in the same system and the same reports.

Product feed for marketplaces

With Channable you send your products from Count-IT through a product feed to marketplaces, comparison sites and advertising channels, with the stock you choose.

Test first, then automate

You first test one contact, one product and one transaction. Then you switch on automatic synchronisation and follow the processing in the synchronisation history.

How it works

Connecting a webshop in four steps

  1. Add the app

Go to Settings, Master data, App connector and Apps, choose Add app and select your webshop platform.

  2. Connect

Open Connection and grant access, or enter the details of your webshop, such as the host and API key for CS-Cart.

  3. Choose the leading system

Set the synchronisation direction per type of data: one leading system for the product structure, one for prices and one for stock.

  4. Test and switch on

Test with one product and one order, check the history and then switch on automatic synchronisation.

To be fair

What the webshop integrations do not do (yet)

So you know in advance whether it suits your webshop.

  • The CS-Cart integration does not retrieve webshop orders; it exchanges products, categories and stock.
  • Invoices are not exchanged with WooCommerce or Magento 2; with WooCommerce suppliers are not exchanged either, with Magento 2 product groups are not.
  • Shopware is not connected for products, stock or orders, only as a gift card provider.
  • Marketplace orders do not come into Count-IT through the Channable feed; the feed goes one way.
  • Integrations are part of the Full plan, not Light.
Frequently asked questions

Questions about connecting POS and webshop

Which webshops can I connect Count-IT to?

Count-IT has integrations with WooCommerce, Shopify, Magento 2 and CS-Cart. With Channable you can also send a product feed to marketplaces and advertising channels. Using another platform? Get in touch.

Does the stock of my shop and webshop stay in sync?

Yes. With all four integrations stock goes from Count-IT to the webshop, with Magento 2 in both directions. A sale at the POS is therefore also visible online.

Do webshop orders arrive in my POS system automatically?

With WooCommerce, Shopify and Magento 2 they do: webshop orders arrive in Count-IT and you process them there. The CS-Cart integration does not retrieve orders.

Which system is leading, the POS or the webshop?

You choose that yourself per type of data. As a safe default, choose one leading system for the product structure, one for prices and one for stock. With Shopify and CS-Cart you manage products in the webshop and stock in Count-IT.

Why do changes in my webshop and Count-IT overwrite each other?

Most likely both systems are leading for the same field. Set one direction per type of data, then check one product and avoid simultaneous bulk edits in both systems.

How are products matched between webshop and POS?

On a fixed identifier, such as an article number (SKU) with Shopify or the product code with CS-Cart. So give every product and every variant a unique article number before you start the first synchronisation.

What is the difference between a webshop integration and the Count-IT webshop?

With an integration you keep your own webshop platform and Count-IT exchanges data with it. The Count-IT webshop works directly on your products, prices and stock in Count-IT, so without synchronisation between two systems.

Which plan includes the webshop integrations?

Integrations are part of the Full plan at €69 per month per POS, excl. VAT. You can try Count-IT free for 30 days.
