Import bank statements (CAMT.053/MT940)

Import your bank file into Count-IT and reconcile paid invoices with suggestions you check and confirm yourself.

In short

Count-IT reads bank files in CAMT.053 (XML or ZIP), MT940/STA and the ABN AMRO TAB, XLS and XLSX export, and suggests an invoice to reconcile for each transaction. Nothing is posted automatically: you confirm every suggestion. This is a file import, not a live bank connection. Useful for B2B businesses and wholesalers that invoice on account.

If you invoice on account, you want to see quickly which invoices have been paid. With the bank import you load your bank transactions into Count-IT and match them to open invoices.

How it works

After the import, each new transaction gets the status New. Count-IT suggests an invoice based on the invoice number, the amount and an IBAN stored with the customer, among other things. A matching partial payment is allowed. Transactions that were imported before, even from another file format, are recognised and not processed twice.

A PDF bank statement is only suitable for checking counts and totals; it is not used as a source of transactions.

Synchronisation
