Connect Exact Online to Count-IT

Count-IT synchronises contacts, products, prices, stock, sales and purchase orders, invoices and POS revenue with Exact Online, in the direction you choose.

In short

The Exact Online integration is Count-IT's most extensive: contacts, products, prices, stock, warehouses, sales orders, purchase orders, pick lists and sales invoices flow in both directions, and POS revenue goes to Exact as a journal entry. It is mainly used by wholesalers, B2B businesses and retailers with Exact as their financial backbone.

Exact Online is an online package for accounting, ERP and trade. Count-IT adds a POS system, order processing and a customer portal, while your administration stays in Exact. The integration works per data type: you decide which system leads.

Master data in both directions

Contacts and contact persons, products, sales and purchase prices, units, warehouses, general ledger accounts, VAT codes, cost centres and payment terms can be exchanged in both directions. Count-IT loads product groups, price lists and storage locations from Exact.

Orders, invoices and stock

Sales orders, purchase orders, pick lists and sales invoices synchronise in both directions, as does stock per warehouse. Stock counts from Count-IT go to Exact. So you sell at the till or through the customer portal and Exact sees the same stock and revenue straight away.

Finance

POS revenue goes to Exact as a journal entry. Count-IT sends payment reconciliations to Exact and loads outstanding items from Exact. Purchase entries are exchanged in both directions.

Exactly what is exchanged also depends on your Exact subscription.

  4. Test first

Test with one contact, one product or one transaction and check the result in History › Synchronisation.

  5. Synchronise automatically

Frequently asked questions

Questions about the Exact Online integration

Are purchase orders synchronised with Exact Online?

Yes. Purchase orders are exchanged between Count-IT and Exact Online, as are sales orders, pick lists, sales invoices, stock and purchase entries.

Which system leads for products and prices?

You choose per data type. For products, prices and stock you can make Count-IT or Exact the leading system. Pick one leading system per data type, so changes do not overwrite each other, and test with one product first.

What does it mean when Exact reports a customer as blocked or inactive?

Exact then does not accept a new order or invoice for that customer. Check the status of the contact in Exact, change it if needed and retry the synchronisation via History › Synchronisation.
